Welcome to the inaugural Caley News blog post, which coincides with the launch of our new website for Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh.
As you no doubt know, the Caley has recently undergone a programme of significant investment to bring this iconic Scottish hotel into the luxury portfolio of Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts.
This transition is what inspired us to revitalise our online presence with a fresh design, more intuitive navigation, and loads of new features to help you plan your trip to Edinburgh and prepare for your stay at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh.
One of the key features of our new site is that it’s fully-responsive, meaning it’ll perform just as well on your smartphone or tablet as on your laptop or desktop computer – so whatever the screen size or orientation, you’ll be able to quickly book rooms and enjoy a user-friendly, immersive experience.
We have some exciting new features lined up for the site in the coming weeks and months. First off, to complement our interactive map and extensive guides to Edinburgh and Scotland, we’ve created four fascinating Walking Tours with our partners at Edinburgh World Heritage, meaning you can explore the Scottish capital with expertly-designed itineraries (and specially-selected soundtrack accompaniments), exclusively created for guests at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian.
We’ll be using the Caley News blog to keep you up-to-date with the latest news, and hope to feature posts from the renowned Michelin-starred chefs Chris and Jeff Galvin, who’ve opened two dining outlets – The Pompadour by Galvin and Galvin Brasserie de Luxe – at the hotel. We’ll also be featuring a range of promotions to coincide with the launch of Guerlain Spa – the ultimate in luxury hotel pampering – in the coming months.
To top it all off, we’ll feature regular guest bloggers who’ll share their expertise on Edinburgh’s Festivals, Golf, Music, Dining, Arts, History and more!
